Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use this website or engage Sage and Service for homeowner guidance or home-services business consulting.

Please review before booking. The service description, price, scope, and any booking-specific policies shown before payment or in a written proposal are part of your agreement.

Consulting scope

Homeowner sessions provide independent educational decision support about plumbing and HVAC proposals and options. Business services may include consulting, technician coaching, training, and implementation support. The specific scope and deliverables depend on the service selected or written proposal.

Limits of the service

Unless expressly included in a written scope, services do not include a site inspection, equipment diagnosis, engineering or design work, code approval, emergency response, legal advice, tax advice, or human-resources advice. Guidance is based on the information available and does not guarantee a particular repair outcome, business result, savings, or performance improvement.

Homeowner guidance is not a substitute for evaluation by the licensed contractor or other qualified professional responsible for the work. You decide whether to proceed and contract directly with any provider performing work.

Fees and payment

Prices and inclusions for fixed-price services are shown on their service pages and again before checkout. Fixed-price virtual sessions must be paid in full when booked. Any payment schedule or deposit for on-site, longer-term, or other custom work will be stated in a written proposal and must be agreed before the engagement is confirmed.

Appointments and changes

Applicable cancellation, rescheduling, refund, and no-show terms will be shown before payment for a booking or stated in the written proposal for custom work. Please review those terms before confirming. A booking is confirmed only after the required payment or agreed deposit is received and the appointment is accepted.

Documents and preparation

If you want to review a proposal or other document together, share it through the method provided for that appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Do not attach documents to the general inquiry form. Remove account numbers, payment details, signatures, and other personal information that is not needed. Late materials may be reviewed during the session without advance analysis or may require a reschedule.

Online meetings and third-party services

Virtual meetings may be held using Zoom or another video-conferencing service agreed for the appointment. Booking, payment, and file-sharing features may be provided by third parties and are also subject to their applicable terms.

Website use

Website text, branding, and original materials are provided for personal or internal business use. Do not copy or redistribute them for commercial use without written permission. You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or submit unlawful content.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sage and Service is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or consulting services. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law and contact

California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The version posted when you book or accept a proposal will apply to that engagement. For questions, use the Contact page.
